A man who flirts with those over whom he has power, starts the problem. He's her boss, so she flirts a little back. It's just innocent flirting, right? When he advances it, a step closer to harassment, she now feels like she may have led him on, or safe that it's just 'flirtatious', nothing more. Now they are both doing a dance, is it a close flirty friendship or the lead up to the push for sex from the power holder? Does she then feel her future at the company hangs in the balance? All of these shades of grey are the reason that sexual harassment in the workplace is a crime, and why companies forbid bosses from engaging in 'relationships' with those over whom they have hiring and firing/advancement power. Because, in such circumstances there are literally thousands of ways for it to go bad, and look bad, even if it isn't. Impropriety is just that, and Mr Davidar was the first to cross the line. The blame lies with him, he opened himself up to the circumstance he is now in, and his employer to liability, regardless of her spin on things.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8128981159160729349.post-24603304685413789452010-07-18T13:33:11.980+05:302010-07-18T13:33:11.980+05:30Very argumentative, Seema.

Get rid of these...everything will fit into place. :)<br />Anand. (anandd29 on Twitter)Razzerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03512875772376802336noreply@blogger.com
